In his current position, Mike is responsible for all day-to-day operations, sales, safety, compliance, and financial performance for the company. He has over 25 years of experience managing environmental service businesses and has enjoyed a relationship with Pacific Trans for 20 years as a customer, competitor, vendor, consultant, and employee. He has been in his current position since 2010.
Mike served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a decorated veteran of the Gulf War. Upon returning from the war, he was awarded the Naval Achievement Medal for developing and implementing the first hazardous waste management program at MCAS El Toro, achieving full regulatory compliance. He traveled to other Southern California Marine bases, performing site assessments, conducting training, writing procedures, and implementing hazardous waste management programs. In 1992 he joined a commercial firm that managed military hazardous waste contracts for the Department of Defense/Defense Logistics Agency (DOD/DLA). He excelled and within two years was responsible for nationwide operations.
Mike is a strong leader and team builder who focuses on results through both individual and group development. He excels at relationship building at all levels and takes pride in maintaining a trustworthy reputation. Michael maintains extensive contacts and relationships with customers, vendors, competitors, and staff throughout the country.
Mike is the proud father of 2 daughters and lives in San Diego, California. He enjoys golfing, hiking, boating, camping, kayaking, cycling, and going to the beach.
